My Most Favorite Quote

“There is a tide in the affairs of men, Which taken at the flood, leads on to fortune. Omitted, all the voyage of their life is bound in shallows and in miseries. On such a full sea are we now afloat. And we must take the current when it serves, or lose our ventures.”

William Shakespeare
The Tragedy of Julius Caesar
Act iv. Sc. 3

My life's hope is that I do not allow my own ventures to sail away with the tide. Instead, I hope to catch the opportunities that each tide brings, as they are presented to me, and sail away with them.
